Job Title: Technician
No. of Openings: Ten (10)
Duty Station: Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
| Responsibility: | a) Operation of generators 24/7, daily Preventive maintenance and cleaning of the generators. b) Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators to include fuel system, lubrication system and cooling systems. c) Perform major repairs and Engine overhaul on diesel generators. Troubleshoot faults on diesel generators and have them fixed within a shorter time frame. Responsible for scheduled routine maintenance, emergency repairs and overhauling of generators, including the installation of auxiliaries such as main fuel tanks, transfer pump and filters, changeover systems etc.Submit daily, weekly and monthly reports |
| Qualification: | Minimum of Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or an Equivalent from a reputable institution. |
| Work experience: | A minimum of two (02) years of practical experience in installation, repair and servicing of generators.Experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic is desirable.Experience in using Generator/Electronic diagnostic tools is desirable. |
| Desirable Languages: | English, French and Kiswahili. |
