Matadi is the chief sea port of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the capital of the Kongo Central province, adjacent to the border with Angola.

Matadi, port city, extreme western Democratic Republic of Congo. It lies along the Congo River opposite the town of Vivi. It is situated 93 miles (150 km) upstream from the Atlantic port of Banana and is the farthest point up the river reached by oceangoing ships; cataracts prevent navigation farther upstream. It is the nation’s principal port, with one of the largest harbors in central Africa and a mile-long waterfront that is cut in granite.

CMM Global started a CONTRACT in May 2019 in this part of the country, with MONUSCO under United Nations peace keeping mission. We did mobilization, recruited and trained technicians for the daily full operation and maintenance of the diesel generators at the MONUSCO site, the mission closed later on in December 2020.
